
RJ RENNA
Richard J. Renna (more commonly known as RJ) was born and raised in Lindenhurst and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, then Lindenhurst Senior High School, where he was Vice President of the Student Council, a PTSA Vice President, Peer Leader, and played an active role in the student leadership of the school.

Upon graduation, RJ was the recipient of the Pride of Lindenhurst Award, as well as Student of the Year and most recently was inducted to the Lindenhurst Senior High School Hall of Great Graduates. With his intentions on bettering the community, he made the decision to attend school locally at Farmingdale State College, where in December 2013 he received his Bachelor’s Degree in business. He is currently employed by Appco Group USA, a leader in charity marketing.

RJ has become an active member of many community organizations and plays a key role in Lindenhurst. He is the past President of the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club, currently serves as Vice President of the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce, on the Board of Directors of the Christina Renna Foundation, member of the Knights of Columbus Council #794, and is a Board Member of the Business Improvement District (BID).

RJ was appointed to the position of Trustee in April 2017 by Mayor Lavorata to fill a vacancy. In 2018, RJ was elected as Trustee for a two-year term. RJ was re-elected in 2020 to a four year term.
